Almost there

Up early and painting on Saturday morning is become a routine now. I focused on all the vines and the barn, closing in on the wood pile. I need to darken parts of the shadow side of the barn (it doesn’t look aged enough) and the big door on the bottom right so it doesn’t draw so much attention. It’s coming together more now.

Thanks for reading

You have been working hard on this, Corey, and it is coming along beautifully! I especially am drawn in by your brushstrokes on the foliage. Nice contrast to the barn shapes and paint applications!

Thank you! I always enjoy your comments. They help me see things that felt right but I wasn’t conscious of doing. This gives me a better understanding of my paintings

You’re bringing this barn to life! The colors are harmonious, especially the greens.

Thanks! I am happy to hear that after my earlier post on struggling with greens.

This is coming together very nicely–I admire your tree-painting ability. That background is fantastic.

Thank you! Masses of foliage have been a point of frustration for me in the past. I am glad to see that this is working better now.
