Workday Sketch

I ended up working through lunch today, so I gave myself a little time back after my meetings were over for this sketch. It isn’t much, but it felt good to find a few minutes for myself.

Sketching is great training for a lot of other activities–the ability to capture and convey something quickly is universally applicable. It has helped me out a lot. Sketching should be common in every workplace.

How cool, Corey! You have a great hand with the sketchbook. I have never been faithful to the sketching routine, and am trying hard to get to it. I have set aside my evening for sketching and am delighted to see yours at this very moment. Great work. I really like this piece.

Thanks! I never feel like I sketch enough. Too much time goes by between sketches, and I still feel awkward drawing in public, but I am getting better about it. Enjoy your sketching tonight.

Corey, you’ve inspired me. I’ve done more sketching tonight than I have in months. Thanks for sharing your work with folk like me.

That’s very nice to hear. I have enjoyed your pen and pencil sketches when you’ve posted them.

For the first moment the glasses looked more real to me than the pencil in this picture.

Great to hear that! Pencil is really good for that effect. I should really do more of these desktop drawings
